Clamping Innospann

The vacuum clamping system Innospann enables every CNC machining centre to be retrofitted independently of manufacturer or type. Modernization facilitates fast and flexible changeover with frequent product changes – for efficient manufacturing processes starting from batch size ”one“. Schmalz thus provides an economic alternative to investment in a new machine.

Solutions by Retrofitting the Machine Table

The machine table is retrofitted by installing a Steel-Plate on a grid plate. For grid tables, the existing grid can be used. Flat and console tables require an intermediate plate with grid. The grid can also be milled directly into a flat table. The integrated vacuum grooves avoid separate hosing. The vacuum blocks can be freely positioned on the Steel-Plate.

Solutions Without Retrofitting the Machine Table

As an alternative to a complete retrofit, Schmalz provides vacuum block models which can be set directly onto the existing machine table. The Adapter-Plate for console tables provides additional flexibility in the positioning of the vacuum blocks.

The vacuum blocks are pre-fixed to the consoles via guide strips and secured against movement during setup
